It is with a sadden heart to inform our Bluegrass Family the loss of Young Craig Morse. A talented 16 year old curly headed bluegrass boy who had a natural talent playing his fiddle. Attached is a beautiful picture of him on The Blistered Fingers’ stage taken by Donna Sanborn. A terrible loss to the Bluegrass & Pottle family. Craig was one of the youngster that went to all the festivals & jams along with his cousins. We'll miss seeing him at the festivals and watching him grow.
Please keep them all in your prayers especially during this time of the year.
BLUEGRASS is a term that has been applied to a wide variety of music. While exact definition may vary
among people who consider themselves BLUEGRASS fans or musicians there would be little disagreement
over this broad one: BLUEGRASS is string band music based on fiddle, 5-string banjo, guitar, mandolin,
dobro, and bass which is played and sung in styles similar to those used by Bill Monroe and his Blue
Grass Boys - whom we shall recognize as the "Father of BLUEGRASS MUSIC."
BLUEGRASS is recognized as a unique musical form, a music in which singers accompany themselves with
ACOUSTIC rather than electric instruments, bringing together amateur and professional musicians as well
as devoted fans who believe in and support this great music called BLUEGRASS.
